Our Community Is Inspiring!

Our community has shown a generous heart toward our hungry little ones. Mary and Patti continue to make a difference for so many kids struggling with hunger. Here they are, with a cart load of food ready to be wheeled into our pantry. With current food shortages on local stores’ shelves, these two sisters are making a big difference one cart at a time!

Chandree Washington learned about Grace Packs while attending The Giving Concert, a concert in which her daughter Ava participated to help our program. Since then, Chandree, who works at Women’s Health Specialists and St. Lucie Surgery Center, has invited her coworkers to embrace Grace Packs with food and financial donations. This mom and daughter team have made lots of deliveries to our pantry and have made a big dent in hunger using their spheres of influence. Chuck, Chandree’s husband, has continued to support and help with these donations and deliveries, too. As Chandree recently shared, “We all have to try to be lights however we can!”

Members of Port St Lucie Sunset Rotary Club have inspired us! These members have engaged the community in helping our children through hosting several ahh-mazing food drives. They have offered support in assembling hundreds of Grace Packs, as well!

Elks Lodge #2658 Members continue to embrace the mission of feeding hungry children on the weekends! These friends first supported Morningside Elementary when our schools had their own pantries. Now that our pantry is centralized, these members have expanded their reach to all of our schools by donating lots of food and assembling Packs that go into our children’s hands each weekend. Love provides!

We so appreciate the kind efforts of Walmart Neighborhood Market Store 7299 employees who volunteer in our pantry! Heather Valentin, store manager, and her team continue to lovingly impact our community’s children by helping to pack.

Thank you, Sunlight Community Church (SCC) and Sunlight Christian Academy (SCA) for showing such compassion to our community’s hungry children. We are very grateful for the pantry space that Sunlight has generously given to us! Members continue to volunteer in the pantry, deliver food to our schools, and make donations. For several years, SCC and SCA have also partnered with Walmart Neighborhood Market and offered Thanksgiving meals with all the fixin’s to our families. Pictured here are SCA students who helped with this year’s Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway!
